San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Somerset (LPD-25) passes under the Golden Gate Bridge as it leads the Parade of Ships during the 2019 San Francisco Fleet Week. The Somerset was built at Avondale Shipyards in Louisiana and was commissioned on March 1, 2014. The ship is named after Somerset County in Pennsylvania in honor of the passengers of United Airlines Flight 93 whose actions brought the plane down in Somerset County, preventing the hijackers from reaching their intended target.
