Astronaut Bill Anders taxies the Heritage Flight Musuem's Douglas A-1D Skyraider at Stead Field in Nevada. While an Air Force pilot Bill Anders was selected as an astronaut in 1963 and served as the backup command module pilot for the Apollo 11 mission. The William A. Anders Foundation is the sponsor of the Heritage Flight Musuem, located in the State of Washington, and Bill flies its aircraft to many airshows throughout the country. Photographed 09/07
