An obelisk marks the location of the Riverbed Pony Express Station in Utah's Great Salt Lake Desert. This Pony Express Station was located 8 miles from Simpson Springs and named after the dry riverbed that it was built on. The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) erected numerous markers in 1939 and 1940 to mark the location of Pony Express stations. Photographed 07/07
