A Douglas C-54D Skytrooper dressed in a D-Day paint scheme sits on the ramp at Minter Field in Central California. The aircraft was flown in from its home airport in Riverside, California, where it is part of the Inland Empire Wing of the Commemerative Air Force, for the 2008 Warbirds In Action air show. The C-54D is based on the Douglas DC-3\C-47 airframe with the addition of 28 fixed seats and a towing cleat for use as a glider tug.
