A 47 foot Motor Lifeboat based at Station Golden Gate patrols the waters of San Francisco Bay during 2006 San Franciso Fleet Week Activities. Station Golden Gate operates 3 of the 47 foot MLB's and is responsible for the coastal and offshore water near the San Francisco Bay Area. The MLB is built to withstand the most severe conditions at sea and are self-bailing, self-righting, and almost unsinkable. Photographed 10/08/06
