The Planes of Fame F-86 Sabre flown by Steve Hinton flies across the sky on its arrival to the 2007 Warbirds in Action airshow at Minter Field near Bakersfield, California. The swept wing F-86 is a 50's era Air Force fighter that was known for its ability to dogfight against the Russian built Mig-15 during the Korean War. Designed by North American Aviation, and first introduced to the Air Force in 1949, there were a total of 9,860 of the f-86 fighter and its variants built.
